Step out of the winter chill and into our very own Frost Fair in the Hold of The Golden Hinde. Inspired by the legendary Frost Fairs once held on the frozen Thames, we’re transforming the ship into a cosy, family-friendly hub of making, playing, and exploring.
Get creative with hands-on winter crafts including paper lantern making, stamped Frost Fair prints, Tudor coin rubbings, and more seasonal activities to enjoy together. Try your hand at traditional games like Liar’s Dice and hoop toss, or step into our Costume Corner to dress up in period Tudor costume and snap a memorable photo.
Alongside the making and play, handle fascinating historical objects in a drop-in object handling with our friends from The Old Operating Theatre to discover stories from the past.
When you’re ready to warm up, pop into our Frost Fair Tavern for steaming hot chocolate and winter-warming drinks - perfectly timed to celebrate National Hot Chocolate Day.
