Families were invited aboard for a hands-on workshop celebrating the artistry of Delftware tiles - a tradition rooted in London’s past. What followed was a day of discovery, design, and shared imagination across the ship’s historic decks.

25th September 2025As part of Heritage Open Days 2025, celebrating this year’s theme of architecture and the built environment, families boarded The Golden Hinde for a creative voyage into London’s skyline. Over two bright September mornings, our Hold transformed into a workshop of imagination where children and their grown-ups built the city anew using recycled and found materials. The result was a joyful exploration of history, design, and sustainability - showing how even “rubbish” can become something remarkable.
