Pauline Murray (Penetration) + Helen McCookerybook Live on The Golden Hinde
Sunday 14 June 2026
Doors 7:30pm | Show 8pm
Step aboard The Golden Hinde for an intimate evening with Pauline Murray, the iconic voice of influential punk band Penetration, joined by special guest Helen McCookerybook.
Pauline Murray made an indelible mark on the early UK punk scene with Penetration, whose 1977 single “Don’t Dictate” remains one of the era’s defining releases. Known for their electrifying live performances, the band released two acclaimed albums, Moving Targets and Coming Up For Air, before disbanding in 1979.
In recent years, Murray has embraced more intimate acoustic performances, showcasing the depth of her songwriting and the distinctive strength of her voice. These stripped-back shows inspired her 2020 solo album Elemental, while her 2023 autobiography Life’s A Gamble offers a candid reflection on a remarkable musical journey.
Performing aboard London’s historic Tudor galleon, this special evening promises a rare opportunity to experience one of punk’s most distinctive voices in an atmospheric and intimate setting.
Whether you are a long-time fan of Penetration or discovering Pauline Murray’s work for the first time, join us for a memorable night of music aboard one of London’s most unique live venues.
