Martin Stephenson Live Aboard The Golden Hinde

Sunday 31 May
Doors 7.30pm | Start 8.00pm

Join us aboard The Golden Hinde for an intimate evening with Martin Stephenson, one of the UK’s most distinctive and enduring singer-songwriters.

Beginning his career as a teenage busker in the North East, Martin developed a richly individual songwriting style by immersing himself in Spanish guitar, jazz, blues, country, skiffle and reggae. That fearless collision of genres has become his trademark across a career spanning almost four decades.

As frontman of Martin Stephenson & The Daintees, he released a string of critically acclaimed albums including Boat To Bolivia, Gladsome Humour and Blue, Salutation Road and The Boys Heart. Alongside band projects and annual tours, Martin has continued to release solo work and perform extensively, earning a devoted following for his warmth, humour and emotional honesty on stage.

A prolific and immensely popular live performer, no two shows are ever quite the same. Expect heartfelt storytelling, masterful guitar work, and songs that move seamlessly between joy and reflection - all set within the atmospheric timbered hull of London’s iconic Tudor galleon.

“… they exude so much warmth and charm that you walk away wishing good to all mankind.” – Rockshot Magazine

Climb aboard for a rare chance to experience Martin Stephenson up close in one of London’s most unique live music venues.
