Withered Hand Live on The Golden Hinde
Sunday 10 May 2026
Doors 7:30pm | Show 8pm
Step aboard The Golden Hinde for an intimate evening with acclaimed Edinburgh singer-songwriter Withered Hand, the musical project of Dan Willson.
Known for his beautifully crafted lyrics, warm melodies, and quietly powerful performances, Willson has become one of the most respected voices in contemporary alt-folk. Since the release of his debut album Good News, he has built a devoted following through heartfelt songwriting and a deeply personal artistic style.
His second album, New Gods, earned a UK AIM Award nomination and featured collaborators from across the celebrated Scottish music scene, while 2023’s How To Love was met with widespread critical praise. More recently, his collaboration with Mercury Prize-nominated songwriter Kathryn Williams was shortlisted for both Scottish Album of the Year and UK Americana Album of the Year.
Performing within the atmospheric surroundings of a historic Tudor ship, this promises to be a rare chance to experience Withered Hand up close - where every lyric lands and every note resonates.
Selected press praise includes:
“Beautifully constructed lyrical frameworks… Caledonian gospel” - MOJO
“Killer melodies… tunes full of warm, woozy sing-song charm” - Rolling Stone USA
“One of the greatest alt-folkies” - The Scotsman
“As life-affirming as music gets” - The Herald
