Christmas Trail
This December, step aboard The Golden Hinde and wander through a ship transformed for the season - from garlands draped over timber beams to candlelit corners glowing with winter warmth. Our Christmas Trail invites visitors of all ages to explore the ship at their own pace, uncovering festive traditions, maritime folklore, and seasonal surprises around every turn.
Follow the trail through seven immersive stops, each inspired by historic Christmas customs and sensory delights - from scents of spice and citrus to the sparkle of winter greenery and the crackle of a cosy Yule-inspired finale. As you journey from deck to deck, you’ll collect hidden letters to reveal a festive word, completing your voyage with a moment of celebration in the heart of the ship.
Alongside the Trail, visitors can enjoy a range of festive experiences included with General Admission:

Drop into our cosy below-deck workshop to craft fragrant pomanders and enjoy warming hot chocolate, mulled wine, or a festive treat or two.
Christmas Characters Drawing Workshop:
Join us on 6 & 7 December, 11am-1pm, for our brand-new drawing session where families can sketch their own merry maritime Christmas characters.
