Object Handling With Southwark Heritage
Tuesday 26 May 2026
11:00am - 2:00pm
As part of our May half-term programme, Cures, Cloves & Curious Remedies, we’re delighted to welcome Southwark Heritage back aboard The Golden Hinde for a special object handling session exploring medicine, trade, and everyday life in the early modern world.
Join Heritage Officer Jeevan Sanghera to discover a fascinating selection of historical objects connected to healing, spices, superstition, and exploration. From curious remedies and medicinal ingredients to objects shaped by global trade routes, this interactive drop-in offers a rare opportunity to get up close to pieces of Southwark’s past and uncover the stories behind them.
Perfect for curious minds of all ages, object handling invites visitors to engage directly with history through touch, conversation, and discovery within the unique surroundings of a Tudor ship.
Included with standard admission.
Drop in anytime between 11:00am and 2:00pm.
