Returning to the ship with her ongoing series of original music showcases, Liz Jones brings her distinctive blend of bluesy-folk, heartfelt lyricism and gutsy songwriting back to the atmospheric surroundings of The Golden Hinde's historic Hold.
For this special performance, Liz is joined by acclaimed singer-songwriter Rachel Croft. Described as "truly exceptional" by BBC Introducing, Rachel's distinctive sound and powerful vocals have taken her to iconic venues including The Bitter End in New York, The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, and Abbey Road Studios. This rare stripped-back performance offers audiences the opportunity to experience her remarkable songwriting in an intimate and unique setting.
Liz and Rachel first met earlier this year in The Netherlands whilst touring acoustically, discovering a shared appreciation for personal, close-up performances alongside their wider work with full bands. With strong musical connections and deep ties to London's live music scene, this special double bill promises an unforgettable evening for existing fans and new listeners alike.
Set within the timbered hull of Sir Francis Drake's famous Tudor galleon, the evening offers a rare opportunity to experience live contemporary folk and acoustic songwriting aboard one of London's most atmospheric venues.
