Shipyard Tours
Step inside our working shipyard and discover how maritime history, archaeological evidence and traditional shipbuilding techniques come together in the modern reconstruction and preservation of The Golden Hinde.
Our Shipyard Tour is approximately 1 hour long and includes a 30-minute guided tour of the active restoration space, followed by a 30-minute guided tour onboard the ship. Visitors will gain insight into the vessel’s design, construction methods and ongoing conservation, alongside the wider historical context that shaped her original purpose.
Price - £10 per person (maximum 20 people per group, minimum 10 people)
Duration - 1 hour
ACCESS & SAFETY: The shipyard is an active industrial environment. Appropriate clothing and closed-toe footwear are required. Hard hats and high-visibility vests will be provided and must be worn during the shipyard tour. The ship is not currently accessible for wheelchair users or visitors with mobility impairments. Please note that there are steep stairs on the ship and low ceilings.
