Step aboard The Golden Hinde for an evening of extraordinary guitar playing with Claude Bourbon, whose captivating performances bring together musical traditions from across the world.
Known throughout Europe and America for his remarkable technique, Claude's music moves effortlessly between the blues of the Mississippi Delta, the warmth of the Balearic Islands and the rich musical traditions of the Balkans. Rooted in classical guitar, his distinctive sound blends Spanish blues, Gypsy rhythms, Eastern European melodies and touches of flamenco.
Drawing inspiration from artists and composers as varied as Paco de Lucía, Ritchie Blackmore, Joaquín Rodrigo, JJ Cale and J.S. Bach, Claude brings an astonishing range of influences together in intricate and expressive performances.
Over the course of his career, Claude has performed at venues across Europe and America and shared stages with musicians including Calvin Russell, Charlie Morgan (Elton John, Gary Moore), Jan Akkerman (Focus), Steve Grossman (Miles Davis), Herbie Armstrong (Van Morrison) and José Barrense-Dias.
Expect an intimate evening of blues, folk, classical and Spanish guitar, brought together by a musician with exceptional timing, technique and a style entirely his own.
