Step aboard The Golden Hinde for an unforgettable overnight adventure where history is not just explored - it is lived! In our 30th anniversary year, join us aboard London’s iconic full-size Tudor galleon for a truly immersive Elizabethan experience.
As the sun sets over the Thames, your group will be welcomed aboard. Guided by costumed characters from the ship’s past, participants will discover what life was really like at sea and learn the skills needed to sail a Tudor galleon.
Meet the ship’s colourful crew and take part in hands-on activities, including:
- Encountering the grisly Barber Surgeon and hearing tales of medicine and survival at sea
- Training with the excitable Gunner in fast-paced cannon drills
- Learning the art of navigation with the ship’s Master and discovering how sailors crossed vast oceans without modern instruments
When night falls, participants bunker down in the atmospheric Gun Deck - sleeping where sailors once rested on long voyages across the globe. Wake to the sounds of the river and enjoy a complimentary breakfast before disembarking.

Participants sleep in shared ship quarters. Sleeping bags and pillows are required. A full kit list and joining instructions will be provided upon booking.
