Double Bill: Milton Hide and Dan Raza

Doors open at 7:00pm

Music Starts 7:30pm

Join us for an evening of Folk and Roots music with duo Milton Hide and Dan Raza

Milton Hide  (AKA Jim and Josie Tipler) come from East Sussex and live at the foot of the famous Long Man of Wilmington hill figure. The duo weave eloquent, well-crafted songs and stories - Jim’s guitar and Josie’s pure vocal delivery blending perfectly. Arrangements also include percussion, with the clarinet providing a third voice. Their music has been described as “reminiscent of the Moody Blues” (Living Tradition), “a touch of Fleetwood Mac” and “vintage Steeleye” (Spiral Earth).

Dan Raza has quickly became a key member of the capital’s folk-roots music scene and opened for artists as diverse as Joan Armatrading, Mary Gauthier and Badly Drawn Boy on tour. Since then, Dan has gone on to perform at prestigious venues in the UK such as The Union Chapel in London and won a loyal following across Europe for his emotional songs and humorous live show repartee. Currently putting the finishing touches to his third record, Dan has once again teamed up with members of Van Morrison and Paul McCartney’s touring bands to recreate his own special, heart-warming brand of folk roots music.
